We hope everyone is enjoying this crisp, dry fall weather. We have received the required number of votes for the amendment to the by-laws. Thank you to everyone who has participated so far. We would still appreciate it if everyone would take the time to turn in your ballot. I have attached the document for your reference. You may reply to this email with your decisions, or if you have further questions.
We have tentatively scheduled our Annual Meeting for February 7th, 2023 @ 7pm in the Canyon Park Middle School Cafeteria. Please mark your calendars. We will let you know once the date is confirmed. Expect a letter approximately 30 days prior to the event.
We still have several 2022 dues outstanding. If you have not paid yet, please do so ASAP. If you are unsure, or need to make arrangements, please contact Treasurer, Jennerifer Boehme, jenboehme@gmail.com.
We have had neighbors express interest in creating an architectural committee. We have had one in the past, although it has been several years. The main responsibilities would be to be the eyes and ears of the neighborhood. If something does not seem right, or if neighbors have questions about what they can and can’t do within the rules of the CC&Rs, the architectural committee would review the information, and report to the Architectural Control Committee Board Member, currently this is Phyllis Murphy. Kevin Kucera has agreed to be the first member of the committee, and we are asking for 2-3 other volunteers. If you are interested, please reach out to Phyllis Murphy, murphy_phyllis@yahoo.com.
As the weather gets colder, and the rains come, there is a tendency for ice to form on the roads. Please be extra diligent, especially in the morning when children are walking to the bus stop, and drive slowly.
In an effort to maintain the drainage issues that we have worked so hard to remedy and to increase the safety of our homes, we recently had several trees removed from various parts of our common areas. The arborist that we hire on a yearly basis had deemed these trees to be dead, dying, or safety threats. Thank you to the neighbors who provided access to these areas. Please let us know if you notice any other trees that may be a concern.
We hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and wish you a happy and healthy holiday season.
